HBPA of BC Scholarship Program Applications Now Available
The Horsemen’s Benevolent & Protective Association of BC is pleased to announce the availability of the Peter Ellickson Scholarship Fund for the 2023-2024 year. Last year the program provided nine scholarship grants ranging from $150 to $1,400 each.

Peter Ellickson Scholarship Fund

The HBPA of BC’s Peter Ellickson Scholarships are available to the organization’s members and to backstretch workers (trainers, grooms, hot walkers, exercise riders and pony riders) who derive their principal income at Hastings Racecourse. Immediate family members of the eligible individuals are also welcome to apply.
The scholarship program was created to honour Peter Ellickson, a former HBPA of BC board member and a strong education advocate. The HBPA of BC’s Scholarship Committee administers the program with final approval of all grants being the responsibility of the HBPA of BC’s board of directors.
Application forms for the education funding program are available online and in the backstretch or can be emailed to you by sending an email to Neil Stajkowski at hbpaneils@gmail.com.
